About the Artist...
Sharon Baker makes her home in the Sonoran Desert in Tuscon, Arizona. She discovered the gift of painting at the age of 50. While painting, Sharon reflects on a favorite quote- "Feel yourself being an opening through which energy flows from the unmanifested source of all life through you for the benefit of all." Eckhart Tolle from A NEW EARTH. Sharon hopes the joy she experiences through painting is reflected to others. She is completely inspired by nature, especially the beautiful desert with the wide open skies!
Painting has taught Sharon to be observant and really "present". It's taught her, most importantly, that it's not realistic to expect perfection from the first brush stroke to the last. A painting, like life, is created by making mistakes and correcting them as you go. Sharon's work has been displayed and sold at Miraval Spa, as featured on Oprah.
